1. sidewalks
 Define: Sidewalks are paths placed next to a road.
 Example: Long ago, sidewalks were made of wood boards.

2. grumbled
 Define: A person who grumbled about something complained about it in a low voice
 Example: The neighbors grumbled about the noisy street repairs.

3. traders
 Define: Traders are people who buy and sell things or exchange one thing for another.
 Example: We gave the traders corn, and they gave us cloth.

4. blossomed
 Define: A person or a business that has grown and developed has blossomed.
 Example: We say that a tree has blossomed when it's flowers appear in the spring

5. wailed
 Define: Wailed means "made a long, sad cry or sound."
 Example: The baby wailed and could not be comforted.

6. lonesome
 Define: Lonesome means "alone or lonely."
 Example: The top of a mountain is a lonesome place.
